Phang
Nga Province offers
wonderful cycling opportunities. Phang
Nga Province is nestles between two well-established
world-class vacation destination - Phuket and Krabi.
Life here goes by at a slow and steady pace. It's this
laid-back lifestyle that draws us to this region. The
locals are extremely friendly and inviting. This
region has virtually no tourism. This is authentic Thailand.
As we ride through the small villages, local Thais yell
'hello' and wave. In traditional Thai village
life, families spend a lot of time chatting on their
front porch or under trees. To add to this nostalgic
setting, there are many well-maintained gardens with
flowers and flowering trees.The
countryside is mostly rolling hills. Some areas are
covered with rubber trees and others are covered with
oil palms. However, there is still some old-growth jungle.
Many lovely rivers meanders through Phang Nga Province
too.Our
most popular cycling trip is our Coast
to Coast tour. This wonderful
trip starts at the Sarasin Bridge (the bridge to Phuket)
on the Andaman Sea side of th Malay Peninsula and ends
in Surat Thani on the Gulf of Thailand side. You can
ride any number of days along this route from one day
to ten days. You can see several videos of this route
on our YouTube
channel.
Cycling
Holidays through rural Thailand
We
ride on paved roads, dirt
roads, gravel roads and single tracks through the villages,
jungle areas and plantations. The roads are in good
shape and most of the hills are small.
We
designed trips in this area to appeal to both experienced
and first-time cyclists.
No
mountain biking experience is required, though
you will likely enjoy yourself more if you have a bit
of familiarity with mountain biking.
